Tasty barbecue doesn't have to be limited to regions with famous takes on the cuisine, like smoked Texas-style brisket or Memphis' take on flavorful ribs, it can be found anywhere in the country.

According to a list compiled by Cheapism of the eateries serving up the best "bucket-list barbecue" in every state, the top spot for must-try barbecue in Tennessee is Charlie Vergos' Rendezvous in Memphis. This longtime Bluff City favorite has been dishing out incredible barbecue since the '40s, including ribs, chopped chicken sandwiches, beef brisket, pork shoulder and more.

Charlie Vergos' Rendezvous, located at 52 S 2nd Street, has a Google rating of 4.4 stars and over 6,000 reviews.

Here's what the site had to say about this tasty BBQ restaurant:

"The well-known, Memphis-style pork rib likely got its start at Rendezvous in downtown Memphis. Ribs are cooked just 18 inches from the fire and mopped with vinegar, not barbecue sauce, then finished with a thick layer of dry rub that's heavy on the paprika. Bright yellow chopped slaw and baked beans are this spot's classic accompaniments."
