Good Morning America anchors T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach have an upcoming mediation with ABC after they were taken off air amid their public romance.

According to TMZ, a mediation was called for Thursday (January 26) after ABC told reps for the GMA3 anchors that the network no longer wants Holmes and Robach to work together on the same show.

It's unclear if the network wants to cut one or both parties involved in the romance that initially made headlines in November.

The pair are reportedly attending the mediation as a united front as lawyers Andrew Brettler, who is representing Robach, and Eric George, who was retained by Holmes, have been working closely together.

Race "will become an issue" if the network moves to discipline or terminate Holmes, "especially if the punishment has no precedent with similarly situated white employees," TMZ reports.

Thursday's mediation is set to occur via Zoom. The mediator will make recommendations on how the network and Holmes and Robach should move forward.
